About Our Nursery

Free places for 2, 3 and 4 year olds 

All 3 and 4 year olds and many 2 year olds are entitled to:

15 hours a week free.

For working parents, 3 and 4 year olds are entitled to 30 hours,

this is being extended to include 2 year olds from September 2025.

Each child is placed in a ‘family group’ with their own key worker; The daily routine has a balance of adult led, and child led activities and, the children spend part of each day in their small groups and part of the day accessing the whole nursery, both indoors and outdoors.

The nursery environment is organised in the following ways:

• The workspace is logical, interesting and stimulating

• The apparatus is clearly labelled so that children can be independent

• Adult participation is carefully planned

• A structured daily routine

Nursery timings

Nursery - For children 3-4 yrs

→ Morning session: 9am - 11.30am.    All children have a full day: 9am - 3 pm

→ Afternoon session: 12.15pm - 3.15pm

→ A small number of places spread over 3 days 

Little Learners - For children 2-3 yrs

→ Morning session: 8.45am - 11.45am.  → Afternoon session: 12.15pm - 3.15pm

→ Places spread over 3 days 

Baby and toddler 'Stay and Play' 

→ Mondays: 1.15pm -2.45pm

30 hour Offer - For children 3-4 yrs

→ Monday-Friday 9am - 3pm

Parents are usually able to choose whether they want a morning or an afternoon session, and which full day they prefer.

Wraparound Care

The Nursery is able to provide wraparound care for those 3-4 year old children, who attend the morning session and whose parents want to pay, to extend the free 15 hours. Wraparound care is currently charged at a rate of £12 per afternoon. This means that children can stay at nursery from 9am-3pm, they must bring a packed lunch. The cost for a full week, Monday-Friday 9am-3pm is £52.

The Little learners playgroup children can purchase extra sessions, currently charged at a rate of £12 per afternoon. 

These sessions need to be booked in advance, and parents/carers need to sign an agreement to pay. If the fees are not paid, we reserve the right to withdraw the additional sessions.
